After stripping the building of its previous incongruous renovation, the challenge was to rediscover the soul of the house. The tight space was cold and hemmed in, but by allowing light to pour in, it acquired a simple quasi-monastic comfort. Moreover, by using so-called “poor” materials the farm gained in nobility.
